Christmas Decorating

Well after much debate and weighing the options Blair and I chose to decorate for Christmas. Our debate was whether or not it is worth it since we don't spend a ton of time at home and that with the wedding we really don't have time unless we do it now! So to all that will be coming to visit or those who would like to come and visit, please let us know and enjoy!

Whoever invented garland should die!

Topping our first tree together!

And the stockings were hung....

Sadie's stocking, "Santa, I promise I'll be good! (We will see)

Blair was all pumped up all night, she loves the Holiday Season!

Sadie wondering why there is nothing in her stocking, and also was wondering why we are adding a tree and plants INTO the house

Halloween & An Update

So it has been quite a long time since I (Brian) have been able to get on and blog it up. I thought that I would go ahead and just update everyone on what is happening in our lives. Blair and I continue to be busy at work and with wedding planning. All of the plans have been pretty much finalized now just making all of the finishing touches. I had my bachelor party a couple of weeks ago and lets just say pictures say a thousand words:

Blair had a bridal shower and a bachelorette party for my family and her Aunt and Mother were in attendance. The next day the four of us went on a tour of Mayowood, which was decorated for Christmas, and they loved it. We also just celebrated Halloween with family and friends, and of course our ballerina doggy Sadie!:

So all in all the wedding is coming up fast and that means that our Honeymoon in Jamaica is also fast approaching! Here is a taste of what we will be in while the snow reigns down upon our Minnesota homeland:

Well I won't rub that in anymore, I am off to bed since it is way past my bedtime!
2 Quick Things:

1) If you have not RSVP'd back for the wedding please do so ASAP!

2) Keep a look out on this blog for our new FTP for some awesome file sharings of music, movies, software & MORE!

TWINS

So if you don't already know Brian, me, Marc, Jen, Kyle, Mike, Scott all went to the Twins game on Tuesday night! It was my first time and last time for that matter at the dome to watch the Twins. I'm not a huge sports fan when it comes to watching them on TV but going to a game is very exciting. I was told the games are never like that, so it was a good game for me to go to. I am now treating my stressed vocal cords because I did some serious yelling at the game. Why is it that when you cheer at a game you try and cheer louder than everyone else? Not sure but I did, and they won! But sad to say that Brian and I watched them play the Yankees last night and they lost by a long shot :( I say it was because they didn't get enough sleep.

70 Days To Go!

So obviously Brian and I stink at the blogging thing we have nothing to blog. Haha.
Umm.. Sadie is back in the big town of Rochester and is more pooped then ever because mom (blair) needs to loose 2 inches and so we are taking long, long, long walks. For example we walked from our house on 50th all the way to Mike and Nancy. Sadie did good, she started draggin her feet about Kwik Trip but it was a good time! Still haven't lost any inches :(

I would say wedding planning is done it just all needs to be put together and paid for :( ahh! We went wedding band shopping and found out online is nice and cheap..haha..Lapidary is doing my wedding band since they made the engagement ring and had a plan in mind for the band, easy enough.

Work is keeping Brian and I really busy. I am now in my last stages of training and should be totally done in December, well I kinda have to be anyways.

Well that's all I have to say next time Brian can add his input.

Times Flying

It's been really busy around here and updating the blog has not been an option...
So to catch you up the Becker clan went on vacation to WI for a week. We did absolutly nothing but sit around, swim, play games, and eat monster cookies the whole week! It was much needed!
Now that we are back to reality Brian and I are very busy with our new jobs and planning our wedding which is 3 months away! :) I have to say that Brian is a big help because he actually gives his opinion and helps with detailing, which I greatly appreciate, because I have no ideas about weddings and he has been around and part of a few. Beth, Robin, and Jen have also been big helps with the what you should probably do and what defiantely not to do's. Haha.

Brian and I met up with Robin, Kyle, Miles, Beth, Seth, and Josiah at the MN State Fair which I have to say was pretty cool. It was my first time and I was amazed by what and how many different things you can actually put on a stick!

Brian and I also made a big decision to trade in my car and buy a used 08 Honda CR-V. Since about a month ago little things were starting to go wrong in my car and add up to bigger things. Those of you who know my car know it's not worth whatever I have to put into it to fix it.
Well that is all for now I'll try to stay on track now!

Sisters

Me, Erica, Kimmie
They came down for my birthday and so we did some sight seeing also.

I'm 21

So my 21st Birthday was actually Monday July 13th but since it was a Monday we decide to plan a party and go out that following weekend, it was a total blast! Marc, Jen, Cody, Boser, Sami, Erica, Kim, Beth, Josiah, Seth, Brian, and I all started the night by having dinner at Whistle Binkies, then Beth and Josiah headed home and we were fine with that his fake I.D. might not have worked for those bouncers :)
After dinner we went to Goonies Comedy Club then headed over to Gilligans but we got there at 10 pm and we were the only ones..so we headed to Chester's for dessert and then Kathy's rooftop cause the regular bar of Kathy's is D-i-s-gusting! So we had some drinks and headed back to Gilligans...
My first shot I had was a concrete mixer...thanks to Cody...it was nasty, but I did it. My favorite shot was the fruity pebble and my favorite drink was the sweat tart (tarter sauce..haha).
After the bars closed we went to Perkins for breakfast..which according to me Marc owned part of it..haha! I actually was awake between 7:30 & 8 am the next morning and I felt like a new woman surprisingly..I never got sick either.
The whole night was really fun! Thanks to everyone who could make it and for those who couldn't there's always another night!

Engagement

So the wedding is well on it's way with only 6 months to go! The planning is going but there's still a lot to do!! Jen was kind enough to take a lot of engagement pictures for us since our photographer got sick and I didn't know if I would be back on a weekday to reschedule. I did end up making it back and we did take photos with our actual photographers to. So we have a lot of pictures to choose from....

Graduation

Brian graduated from RCTC with his associates degree and I graduated from LATI with a Cosmetology degree. Brian is currently working for his dad at Becker Appraisals and I'm studying to take my MN boards so I can work in a salon in Rochester.

Sadie May

So Sadie also came with me from SD she is a retired hunting dog, and she is taking full advantage of the free and spoiled life. She goes to the dog park on a regular basis or else we play fetch with her in the field next to our townhome. Now that it's getting nice out Brian and I take her for short walks. Surprisingly she isn't in the greatest shape considering her old job but she did have 12 pups a couple of years ago and we'll it's taking her more time to loose the weight.

She loves to ride in the car!

Valentine's Day

So we have to pay more attention to our blog...we are definitely lacking in the blog posting department. So a lot going on in our lives, with house hunting, Blair finishing school, me finishing school, moving in together and wedding planning we are feeling the stresses of life. We enjoyed a very nice Valentine's Day together in Minneapolis. I took Blair to the institute of arts in Minneapolis and we looked at a lot of very old and interesting things and she was amazed and awed. After that we went to dinner at the Rock Bottom Brewery on Hennepin and had delicious brewed beers and meals. I had front row tickets to the play Annie at the Orpheum and Blair was shocked when she opened them in her present. The next day I took her back to my ol' stompin ground in St. Paul to lunch at the Groveland Tap and the to Como Zoo (her first time there). With us moving and all of the changes going on in our lives look to our blog for more timely updates!
