Quinn is ONE

Well my little baby girl is officially one.  Tons of family and friends gathered in what seems like a large garage until its filled to the max with people..haha...to celebrate Quinn's 1st birthday. We did a Rio celebration since it was Quinn's favorite movie at the time, now the list is finally growing. We served chicken tacos, chips, guacamole, fruit, candy, and cupcakes. While everyone enjoyed there birthday dinner Quinn and mommy scooted off to..yep the ER. You guessed it another ear infection for my little pumpkin. Thankfully she had a temp of 102 so we were seen right away. In and out in about 2 hrs, that's really good timing for Mayo Clinic's ER visit. We came back to enjoy some food and a cupcake with a big 1 on it for Quinn to blow out with the help of some cute little cousins.  Then we opened gifts and hung out, chatted, watched football (on a giant flat screen TV) and sat in front of the fire on the driveway..hillbilly I think not.  Quinn was tucked into her nice warm bed by 8:30 to end her celebration. Sorry for the lack of photos I had no time to snap a few but I wasn't worried with nana and Robin there I knew we'd get plenty! Thanks again everyone for joining us and for all the wonderful gifts.

Big Girl

10 Months Old

Well time is flying by and Quinn is 10 months old already and surprisingly only weighing 23 lbs. She is such an awesome little girl. She is crawling around and speaking her mind already.  She loves to swim, take baths, play with her toys on the floor, cruise around in the walker(aka ankle killer), and go for walks.  She's decided that she is done with baby food so now she eats breakfast lunch and dinner like mommy and daddy. She got a big girl tricycle as an early 1st birthday present from Auntie Jen, Uncle Marc, and cuz Callan and she loves it.  She has developed her own little personality that flashes me forward and scares me a bit. She has started liking other movies and shows finally I don't know how much more of Rio Brian and I can take.  The dogs are doing great with Quinn.  Sadie loves to lay and watch her play and also lets Quinn play with her dog tags. Lucy avoids her for the most part unless there is some leftover food on Quinn then she is Quinn's best friend and personal washcloth.
Recently Gigi came and stayed for a week while she was on her summer break from teaching and helped nanny, cook, clean, and do laundry! Whew it was a relief! We were sad to see her go but happy that we could get back to our normal crazy life.
Here are the only two 10 month photos that turned out. Actually they really didn't turn out either so I will try them again another day! It's way to hard to get a 10 month old to sit still!

Family Photo Shoot

I had decided we needed to update photos around our house since time is flying by and our photos were all of newborn Quinn up to 3 months old.  So we asked Jen to take a few quick shots to update our frames.  I have yet to get the pictures in the frames but at least we have  them taken. When you become a mom and a working mom at that, having the pictures taken is a HUGE accomplishment.
