2 Months

It's super hard to believe that 2 months ago already Brian and I brought this beautiful baby girl into the world. She truly is a blessing. She had her 2 month Dr. appt the other day and things went really well. She is again totally average even though she appears quite rolly. She did however come home around 7lbs 4oz and now is a whopping 13lbs 8 oz. She certainly ain't starved!! As parents know 2 months appointments bring 2 month shots (dunn dunn Dunn). She quite enjoyed the liquid the nurse put in her mouth and was totally happy and just talking and then just a few short seconds after the first needle my little baby turned beat red and screamed her head off. I have never heard her scream like that!! She was even quite when she came from the womb. Then he quickly gave her the last 2 shots in her other leg...poor baby..mommy sat on the bench and teared while daddy stood next to her to quick pass her off to mommy for relief (the boob). It is true when they say to feed them right after the shots it soothes them, it works. She then slept all the way through our adventure to beatles with Beth, Seth, Robin and Kyle and onto her next feeding around 8:30 or so. Like I said she is a really good baby and we are truly blessed!

Busy Life

So having a baby makes my head spin, in a good way. Quinn is an awesome baby and we love her so much. She is growing like a wild flower. We took her to her latest dr. appt. and she weights in at 12 lbs 8 oz. she ain't starvin folks. She is for the most part sleeping through the night. I get about 6 hours in one shot possibly even more when her daddy tucks her in at night. It's getting to be that time to put her into her own room and I'm not sure I'm ready. I might have a few sleepless nights from crying cause I miss my baby or from getting up to go check on her every few minutes. She is a very smily and giggly and happy baby! Here's one of her latest pictures that we captured that I love.

Back to Work

So I'm back to work as of today Monday Nov. 7th, 2011 and it is nice. As Beth says "you feel human again," so true. One things for sure I'm TIRED! Being at home and being tired with a baby who is totally awake is way easier then being back at work cause you have that precious little face and that sweet baby smell. But it is nice to be out!

I have my 6 week dr. checkup tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to.. Other then that life is crazy and everything is unexpected but exciting!

Yes Quinn is well over a month old and I have no time to blog..Once I'm back at work I will have some more time on my hands to catch up. But a quick update..She is a great baby!! As of Oct.28 she only wakes up once during the night to eat and if I'm really lucky its not tell like 6am but that only happened once or twice..Awhile back I'd bought this little mobile at Ikea for like a whole $5 I believe, and it is her favorite! She gets so excited she screams, coos, giggles, and smiles at it! Best $5 ever spent she tells me. Here are some photos just to catch up.

1 Week Old!

It's hard to believe that 1 week ago already I gave birth to the most beautiful little girl! Brian and I seriously couldn't have asked for a better baby. She generally eats around 9 then 1 am then around 5am so she lets mommy get alot of sleep for a first timer. She isn't a cry baby either she will just fuss a second to let you know ok I need something and then she's done.

In this past week she has already hung outside in the warm sun and took her first trip to Target (it will be her and mommy's hangout) and to dinner at applebees. She did great, mommy not so much. It's a good thing we have daddy that's for sure!

We're Home

So last night was a much better night than our first. She ate around 11:30 and then went to the nursery for a all of her Minnesota tests and what nots and came back around 3:30 so mom and dad got some good quality sleep. She at again and then back to sleep for about 2 more hours again letting her parents sleep nice and sound. She curled up with daddy for a mid morning nap while mommy got a shower too. We are home now and the dogs are very interested in her but after about 3 minutes she is old news. We are up for visitors if people are wanting to come by, just send me a text when you think you wanna come by!

Day One Complete!

Sleep deprivation here we come! Quinn decided to cluster feed most of the evening and therefor keep her parents up as well. Daddy got a few hours of "sleep" and mommy got a little less but over all we are powering through and trying to keep our energy levels up by eating regularly and walking around. I am so proud of Blair for being a trooper and it is frustrating that I can't do anything when she is crying and wants to eat or when Blair is falling asleep will feeding her from exhaustion. My girls are beautiful!

SHE IS HERE!!! After 15 minutes of pushing she came out at 5:09 AM 7 lbs. 10 oz. 20 inches long. Mom and Quinn are doing awesome....Blair is finally able to eat so she is much happier and baby is also eating very successfully. We will be up for visitors later in the day just call or text me before u come.

Update......2:10 AM

So Blair and I got a power nap in for about half an hour. We are just taking it easy and watching some movies, doctor just came in and checked her. She is 5 cm, 90% and -1. So she is making good progress but upped the pitocin to try and move things along a little faster. The long and hardest dilating is over now just needing to make some progress! Me blogging and Blair trooping through it!

Update....9:25 PM

Epidural is in and Blair is feeling much much better, they also turned the pitosin down b/c the contractions were intense and right on top of each other. Moving along good on her own and having contractions about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes apart and she can't feel a thing, she is 3 cm, 50% effaced and -1.....this is what her epidural happy face is.....too bad I didn't get the before shot but I had the mask and head drape on and keeping her focused by being in front of her.

Update.....7:00 PM

Pitosin has been running for a while now and contractions are getting stronger and more frequent....doctor will be coming in soon to check how far along she is and see the progress. Keep checking the blog for updates....

Update......5:27 PM

Minimal progress so We are starting the pitosin drip to progress her labor....baby is still doing just fine and Blair is being a champ. Depressing to watch ANOTHER Viking loss in the hospital but I'm more excited to see her!

Update.....2:36 PM

Blair tested positive for strep B so she is getting anti-biotic for that....had a little trouble with the first IV but the second one is doing good. Just waiting for the Mede to be done running in and then we are going to get up and walkabout to see if we can get this labor progressing a little more. If she isn't progressing then we will be looking at petosin.....we will update again when something changes!

We're in Labor!!!

Early this morning Blair's water broke and it has continued to leak throughout the morning. The doctor has verified that she is ruptured and we have been walking to try and progress some labor, we will be keeping this blog updated as much as possible......wish us luck!

Dr. Appt. Update

So we went in to our Dr. today for a routine checkup and everything looks good so far. We have to wait on the results of our Strep B test but the Stress Test and Fluid pockets around baby were all given a thumbs up. I'm progressing on dilation, only 2 cm but at least it's progressing. She said baby girl is fully dropped and facing toward my spine, so we are just waiting on her big debut. The Dr. says another 2 weeks of cooking. :( 2 longest weeks of my life. But I'm super busy getting everyone's hair done and getting my checklist and house in line that it should hopefully go by fast. I'm booked out tell next Tuesday with haircuts and colors, and then to prep my house again for our baby to come and then to take my last week of relaxing and catching up on as much sleep as possible.

Water Fun!

Since we have a rather small house and small yard it's nice to get the pups out on an adventure once in awhile and boy do they LOVE the water and of course fetch! So here are some photos from our day out to the green bridge!

Lucy doesn't quit have the shape that Sadie does when it comes to swimming and fetching a distance. She started spoiled and Sadie started trained.haha But she loves to be right along Sadies side taken credit for the catch and when she gets alittle tired she just grabs hold of Sadie's collar and Sadie helps her ashore. It's pretty cute!

36 Weeks

Yep this is late yet again..but I just can't find the time to blog when I have a million other things to do to prepare for the new little bundle of joy that's about to enter into our crazy lives. When I say a million things btw that really means I have nothing but I feel as if I should wash walls one more time or organize the cupboards again or maybe start one more project...If you've been preggers you know what I mean! I have a dr. appt on Tuesday and hopefully we will hear some good news that it won't be much longer!! Fingers crossed folks! But it has to be after the 23rd I need a hair cut REALLY bad! haha. Oh and yes I had botox injections before Brian took this picture and that's why my face is so shocked looking! jk. My eyes can barely stay open these days!
