Glee Live

Glee Live Tour 2011
June 1st, 2011 at the Target Center.... That's right and I got to go cause of my loving and wonderful husband and so did Beth and Kristin because of their wonderful and loving husbands! We headed out about 1:00 on Wed. afternoon with no real plan in mind except Glee starts at 7:30! We went to Ikea which I think should be like a mandatory thing when you go to the cities, found a place to park and started on an rather interesting walk of downtown Minneapolis. Wow! If you are a total ppl watcher like I am, it is certainly the best place to be. We had drinks at the Bank..well Kristin and Beth did, I had water on the rocks! :) Then we headed to Huberts were we had apps and dinner for 50% off cause Beth new Abbie Snell their marketing intern. haha! Sweet! Huberts also had a door that took us right into our entrance of the Target Center so we beat the crowd I'd say. We had front row seats on the first raised level I think is how you could say it, we weren't on the floor but I'm glad we weren't cause then we'd had to battle to see over all the standing ppls heads. Anyway they were GREAT seats! They had a center stage set up which actually made us front row when they were up on it. I won't go into great detail about the show cause this entry would go on forever but it was really great! Kristin, Beth and I screamed like the rest of the high school crushing girls were and it was just great fun. Baby B also enjoyed it, I think? She was dancing through the whole show otherwise kicking cause she hated it..made me a little uncomfortable but whocares, GLEE! 18 Weeks

18 Weeks

We've finally made it to the halfway mark and I'm still doing good. I had said I was going to wear my regular clothes as long as possible, which I still could if I didn't have this rather large belly, but I broke down and bought maternity pants. My clothes fit everywhere but around my waist of course, and the pressure of tight pants around your waist is not comfortable.
Baby B is the size of a sweet potatoe..5.6 inches approx! And it's also time to take a peek and find out what we are having. Boy or Girl? Wed. May 11th is the offical appointment and the days up to it couldn't drag on any longer. I was worried cause all the books say on your 20-22 week check up is when you can find out and our monthly appt falls on the 18th week but Dr. Johannson says after the 16th week it is clearly visible if the baby is in a good position so you can actually see if it's a boy or girl and we will have no problems...He's an old pro I hear so I'm not worried!

After our appt on Wed. I will post ultra sound pictures with the results!

16 Weeks

16 weeks and 1 day
We are counting down the days tell we find out the sex of the baby. Only 16 to days to go. Baby B is now the size of an avocado and can hear everything we say....So we need to watch our mouths or baby's first words might not be pretty :)

P.S. It is also Sadie May's birthday today and she is 7 in people years, which I believe that makes her 50 in dog years! Yikes!

Baby B is moving..15 Weeks & 5 Days!

I know this is a weird photo, but I was awakened this morning at 6 am on the dot with this alien like movement in my belly. And so I put my hand on it to feel and my stomach was totally bulging on the left side. So of course I freaked out and turned on the light and then I saw it was just the baby swimming around ready to start the day. I woke Brian up from his deep sleep "what, what, huh?". It was a really strange and cool feeling and I was so glad for technology that I had my camera phone right by my bed to catch it in a picture.

15 Week Update

Baby B had just a quick checkup yesterday and Dr. said everything sounds great. She says we've got a squirmy little fart on our hands and with in the next couple weeks she says she has no doubts we will feel him/her moving. Generally they like the heart rate between 110 and 160, and baby B was booking it at 150. I was worried about my weight gain with all my eating but I've bearly gained 6lbs from beginning tell now and she said that was perfectly fine. Now the countdown begins, because on May 11th we get to find out the sex. This will be the longest month of mine and Brian's life folks, we can't wait!

14 Weeks!

Baby B is now the size of a lemon (3.4 in) and is busy thumb sucking and toe wiggling, a few other things we won't mention. It is really weird to think we are already at this point. Right now time seems to be flying.

13 Weeks
We made it to the 2nd Trimester and I'm feeling great! I'm not so exhausted anymore, which is so lovely. I've noticed I been actually loosing inches everywhere but the waist and bust, of course, which I think is nice as well. haha!
Baby B is the size of a peach now and is forming teeth and vocal cords. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy.

We're Pregnant!

For those of you who don't already know, Brian and I are expecting! We found out last Friday the 28th of Jan. I actually was in Old Navy picking out a gift for Henry Bug's birthday party and some random song came over the sound system and I broke into tears, I went into the fitting rooms, collected myself and then went to pay for my purchases. I got home and immediately took a test! After just a few short minutes there were 2 pink lines!! Brian and I were both in tears after I told him the great news!
On Sat. night we joined the Becker clan at Nana and Papa's house to have dinner and Brian and I brought Pink and Blue frosted cupcakes and I wore a shirt that said Baby Bump. Of course know one got the shirt....
The following weekend we headed for SD to spread the news with my family. We wrapped up a gifts for my parents to tell them. My mother got a newborn diaper that said the due date and my dad got a onesie that read " If you bought it my grandpa's truck brought it" because my dad's business slogan is "If you bought it a truck brought it" Ristvedt Trucking.
Everyone we've shared the news with was ecstatic some were even speechless, and half of them are convinced we are having twins.
Well that was probably the longest post we've ever written, but there will be more to come since we are blogging the entire pregnancy. So stay tuned!
P.S. Our bundle of joy is due in early October!

Family Photo

Our first official family photo:
Brian. Blair. Sadie. Lucy

Lucy Marie

1 Year!

We made it through the first year folks!

I gave Brian the first bite! Not sure it was so good?

Then we fed each other as we did on our wedding day.
It wasn't terrible tasting but it was that good either. We left it
for everyone else to eat!

Like a Kid Again

Brian and I though it would be a blast to go sledding with Miles and Josiah, and it was. I remembered how we could sled for hours but I think I only made it up the hill 3 times this time around? It's not as easy as I remembered it being but it was still fun. Only one mishap when Brian and Josiah headed down and Josiah face planted in the snow..Brr..poor guy! Next year we can add Henry Bug in on the action!

New Puppy

Brian and I have been talking about getting another dog for the longest time but our townhouse and busy lifestyle just wouldn't allow it. Well now that we have a bigger house and no wedding to plan for, we decided it's the perfect time, and Sadie seemed a little board. So for weeks we did some research on breeds and what not and decide to rescue a puppy because there are so many to be rescued. We found a cute little black Lab and Irish Setter mix in Faribault, named Flirt. I called up the couple that was fostering her and she told me there are a lot of families looking at her so if I want her I needed to come now! I called Brian and that night we drove down there and by 7pm we had a new puppy. We didn't like the name Flirt so we renamed her to Lucy Marie. We love 'I Love Lucy' so it only made sense.

She loves to ride in the car

She loves to play in water

She also loves to do everything Sadie does

Before and After

As everyone knows in April Brian and I bought a new house. We wanted a fixer upper so we could really do our own thing with it. Well we found our fixer upper but it's was more of a fixer upper then we wanted. We had a lot of late nights and early mornings but we couldn't have done it without all the help. So a BIG thanks to everyone! We've now been living in it about 3 months and we really enjoy it!
The pictures are of the bathroom, guest bedroom, kitchen, dinning, and living room, and entry.
The outside is our project for May of 2011.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Borrowed: Hankie, Blue: Shoes, Old: Undies, New: Jewelry
So our wedding day finally came. It seemed like it took forever to come, but it did. Actually it came and went really fast. Everyone told me the day will fly by so take it all in, and sure enough it flew by. Everything went very smoothly and it turned out to be more beautiful then I imagined, even the trees at the church...:)haha
Brian and I left for our honeymoon in Montego Bay Jamaica the Monday following our wedding. It was a big shock for me when we got to Jamaica, so big I actually cried and said I wanted to go home! Yes 85 degrees and sunny..I was ready to go home. Brian explained to me I had to stay and that I would eventually like it. Shortly after my childish moment I was ready to explore the resort. It was so relaxing, I'm glad I decided to stay.
Now we're home and back to reality.

The practice round

Brian's sister got a hotel room for Friday night since Brian and I decide to go traditional and not see eachother tell the moment I walk down the aisle.

My wedding gift from Brian was a Tiffany's key locket, and a very sweet note to follow that my sister had to read cause I kept crying.

Miles was very interested in me while I was putting on my lipstick.

Me the blushing bride
